For any HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 compute modules configured with the processors listed in the Scope section below, the HPE Synergy 12000 Frame fans may operate at 99% speed, resulting in louder noise.
Scope
In the scenario described above, any HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 compute modules configured with the following processors running System ROM version 2.90: Intel Xeon-Gold 5222 Processors (SKU# P08679-L21, and SKU# P08679-B21) Intel Xeon-Gold 6244 Processors (SKU# P07348-L21, and SKU# P07348-B21)
Resolution
To avoid this issue, install System ROM version 3.00 (or later).
