HPE OneView can be used to automatically configure Domain name and iLO DNS addresses for an IP pool of the Logical Enclosures (LE). However, in the case of HPE Gen11 Servers managed by HPE OneView, the changes in Domain name or DNS Server IP address that is part of IP address pool will not be seen in the iLO User Interface.
Scope
Any HPE Synergy Gen11 servers that are managed by HPE OneView 8.5x or 8.6x.
Resolution
This is corrected in HPE OneView 8.7. Update to OneView 8.70 or later. As a workaround for the issue, manually enter the domain name and DNS IP address in the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) User Interface by performing the following steps: Click in the iLO Dedicated Network Port or iLO Shared Network Port in the navigation tree. Click to select the General tab. Enter the iLO Domain Name if DHCP is not configured. Click Apply to save the changes. Click in the iLO Dedicated Network Port or iLO Shared Network Port in the navigation tree. Click to select the IPv4 tab. Configure the DNS Configuration settings. Click Apply to save the changes.
