Document Version Release Date Details 2 March 13, 2024 Updated to indicate the permanent fix, System ROM v 3.10 for Gen10 systems and v2.00 for Gen10 Plus systems. 1 January 31, 2024 Original document release On an HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 or ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus, systems originally configured to boot with BIOS in Legacy mode can spontaneously change to UEFI boot mode following a reboot. It was discovered that spending more than 15 minutes of idle time in the iLO GUI can cause this behavior on the next system reboot.

Scope

Any HPE ProLiant Gen10, or ProLiant Gen10 Plus Intel based servers with iLO 5.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in System ROM Version 3.10 for Gen10 systems and version 2.00 for Gen10 Plus systems. To download the System ROM, perform the following steps: Click the following link: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center Enter a product name (e.g.,ProLiant DL380 Gen10 " in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it. Click the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab near the top of the page for the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" filter menus on the page: In the "Find in Drivers and Software' search box, enter ProLiant DL360 Gen10 System ROM 3.10" or on the Gen10 Plus product page, enter "ProLiant DL360 Gen10 plus System ROM 2.00." Locate and select the applicable version of the System ROM (or later). Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
