On any HPE platform configured with any of the HPE Intel E810-based network adapters with NVM firmware version 4.10 (or prior) listed in the Scope section below, Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (UMCE) messages similar to the following may be displayed by the CPU completion timeout of the read request of the affected network adapters: "Unexpected Shutdown and Restart - An undetermined error type resulted in a reboot of the server. & Got an alert with Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (Processor 1, APIC ID 0x00000000, Bank 0x00000006, Status 0xBA000000'00000E0B, Address 0x00000000'00000000, Misc 0x00000000'0E100000)." This issue occurs due to a code defect in the network adapter firmware that causes PCIe access conflicts.
Scope
