Info

HPE is pleased to announce that an upgrade to HPE Serviceguard for Linux (SGLX) v15.20 (or later) is available with an active support contract or term license for SGLX v12. Major version upgrades from HPE Serviceguard for Linux (SGLX) v12 to SGLX v15 require purchase of SGLX v15 term license. The SGLX v12 to SGLX v15 Upgrade Program is designed to allow SGLX v12 customers to upgrade to SGLX v15 during their SGLX v12 active support period conditional upon SGLX v15 purchase at the end of the SGLX v12 term, to ensure continued use of SGLX. When upgrading to v15.20 (or later), HPE Serviceguard software will automatically calculate the SGLX v15 entitlement requirement in the environment and offer “required” SGLX v15 entitlements on the upgraded nodes. Upgrade program for SGLX v12 will be discontinued on December 31, 2024. Refer to the upgrade document HPE Serviceguard for Linux Upgrade Program from SGLX v12 to SGLX v15 for more details on v12 to v15 upgrade. More information on SGLX v15 features is available at the following website: www.hpe.com/servers/sglx

Scope

Existing v12 Perpetual or Term license customer with a valid support contract who is considering an upgrade to HPE Serviceguard for Linux version 15.20 (or later).

Found Valid Enterprise License Number of Enterprise License(s): 2 2 License(s) Expire(s) on Indefinite # V12 Term License customers: SGLX v12 term license customers will be eligible to upgrade to SGLX v15 without immediate SGLX v15 purchase if upgrade is performed before Dec 31, 2024. Customers are required to purchase SGLX v15 once the existing SGLX v12 term license ends. V12 Perpetual License customers: • SGLX v12 perpetual license customers will be eligible to upgrade to SGLX v15 without immediate SGLX v15 purchase if SGLX v12 support is purchased prior to SGLX v12 Prior Version Support (PVS) end date (refer to HPE Serviceguard for Linux (SGLX) Support Letter for PVS end date) and who upgrade before Dec 31, 2024. Customers are required to purchase SGLX v15 once the existing SGLX v12 support contract ends. • If upgraded using the HPE Serviceguard for Linux Upgrade Program from SGLX v12 to SGLX v15 , the upgrade was provided with the requirement to purchase SGLX v15 term license at the end of the SGLX v12 support term. Support may not be renewed for the SGLX v12 perpetual licenses. To purchase SGLX v15 term licenses prior to end of support for SGLX v12, contact an HPE Sales Representative. Once SGLX v15 term licenses are purchased, the SGLX v12 licenses must be cancelled from the support agreement by contacting HPE Services. If servers were upgraded to SGLX v15 in phases, renew support for active SGLX v12 instances and at the end of the support term purchase required SGLX v15 subscription by contacting HPE sales. • RTU Extension:- Customers must purchase SGLX v15 term license prior to end date of existing SGLX v12 support contract or term license for continued use. If upgraded to SGLX v15 based on active support contract for SGLX v12 perpetual license and where SGLX v15 right to use (RTU) expires prior to SGLX v12 support contract end date, contact HPE sales or email ha.marketing@hpe.com for an RTU extension. E.g., If Serviceguard Manager+ dashboard indicate SGLX v15 RTU ends on Dec 5, 2024 but SGLX v12 support contract end date is Jul 31, 2025, contact HPE.
