On HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 Compute Modules and HPE ProLiant Gen11 Server replacement drives, following the old HPE drive requirement specification adjusts the Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) drive log page 0x3 firmware slot information with a right-justified alignment for the firmware revision string. Therefore, the firmware revision string retrieved from System Utilities > System Information > Firmware Information in the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) is displayed as a reversed string of HPE model numbers. For example: HPE model number VV003840KXWBF VV007680KXWBL VV015360KXWBN
This advisory applies to a direct-attached NVMe drive model P5430 with firmware version HPK0 attached to HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 Compute Modules and HPE ProLiant Gen11 Servers.
