Description:

Info

On any HPE platform configured with any of the HPE Mellanox-based network adapters listed in the Scope section below; the firmware package (FWPKG) files for the HPE Mellanox-based network adapters do not indicate that a reboot is required post installation. For any firmware package (FWPKG) component file, the information in the corresponding payload.json file is set based on the XML flag values used while signing the raw Platform Level Data Model (PLDM) binary file to add HPE iLO specific secure headers/signature to it. In the case of the Mellanox firmware packages(FWPKG) component files, the XML flag that represents the "Reset Required" status was inadvertently set to false; therefore, the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) does not indicate that a reboot is required post installation. This does not impact the flashing functionality of the firmware component, but when it is deployed via Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP), it will not display a message indicating to reboot the server for successful firmware installation.

Scope

Any HPE platform configured with any of the following HPE Mellanox-based network adapters: Mellanox MCX562A-ACAI Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port SFP28 OCP3 Adapter for HPE (P10112-B21) Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE (P25960-B21) Mellanox MCX623105AS-VDAT Ethernet 200Gb 1-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE (P10180-B21) Mellanox MCX631102AS-ADAT Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port SFP28 Adapter for HPE (P42044-B21) Mellanox MCX631432AS-ADAI Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port SFP28 OCP3 Adapter for HPE (P42041-B21)
