When using the RESTful Interface tool (ilorest) to configure RAID volumes on the HPE Alletra Storage Server 4140, the process may not succeed. This issue may occur only during RAID 0 volume configuration when more than 60 drives are present, and each are made into a RAID 0 volume using the ilorest command-line tool. The following must all be true for this issue to occur: HPE Alletra Storage Server 4140 More than 60 total drives in the server One or more HPE SR932i storage controllers in the server ilorest command-line tool used to create RAID 0 volumes one at a time
Any HPE Alletra Storage Server 4140.
Many tools are provided by HPE to support RAID volume configuration. Any of the following may be used in conjunction with an HPE SR932i storage controller: ssacli command-line interface of the Smart Storage Administrator CLI Management tool ssa GUI interface of the Smart Storage Administrator tool UEFI BIOS GUI storage configurator HPE recommends updating to the latest firmware levels on all server components. For the issue in this document, update HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) firmware to v1.56 (or later). To download iLO 6 v1.56, perform the following steps: Click the following link: http://www.hpe.com/support/ilo5 The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 v1.56 firmware . click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
