On any of the HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers mentioned in the Scope section below, after an update of the UBM5 Backplane PIC firmware using either SPP or the firmware component (FWPKG), the updated firmware version will not match for all the UBM5 BP devices under iLO > System Information - Device Inventory, even when the firmware update is completed successfully. When this occurs, the amount of UBM5 devices being displayed is one less than the actual UBM5 devices installed, the following image shows five UBM5 devices when there are actually six installed:

Any of the following servers configured with 12 EDSFF UBM5 BP: HPE ProLiant DL345 Gen11 server. HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 server. HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen11 server. HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen11 server. HPE ProLiant DL560 Gen11 server.
Resolution
This is a display issue only, reboot the system to have the correct firmware version and number of devices displayed.
