When running a Hard Drive SMART Check on any HPE Gen10 or Gen10 Plus server configured with HPE MR216i-a / HPE MR216i-p Gen10 Plus Controllers or HPE MR416i-a / HPE MR416i-p Gen10 Plus Controllers, the diagnostic will fail with "SOFTWARE ERROR"
Scope
Any HPE Gen10 or Gen10 Plus server running UEFU Diagnostics version 6.9.6.0186.
Resolution
Update to UEFI Diagnostics version 6.9.10.0 which is part of Intelligent Provisioning version 3.89 . Click the Installation Instructions tab for a successful update.
