HPE Compute MR Gen11 Controllers
HPE MR Gen10 Plus Controllers
No affected releases provided.
No fixed releases provided.
When performing a firmware update for an HPE MR Gen10 Plus or Gen 11 storage controller through the iLO GUI, the update may not complete for the controller, the downstream backplane, and the downstream drive. When this issue occurs, the following error message will display in the iLO GUI: This is a timing issue when the controller is performing a Platform Level Data Model (PLDM) firmware update initialization. When this happens, the server and controller will function normally, but the firmware update through the iLO GUI will be unsuccessful.
The issue impacts all platforms that support HPE MR Gen10 Plus and Gen11 controllers.
The issue will be resolved in the next controller firmware release. As a workaround, perform the following steps: Reset the iLO. Reboot the system. Proceed to perform the firmware update again through the iLO GUI.
