On HPE servers configured with any of the HPE Broadcom BCM5741x-based network adapters with NVM Image version 226.1.x.x (or prior) listed in the Scope section below; and its NIC FW version prior to 227.1.111.0, in rare instances, a Platform Level Data Model (PLDM) Firmware Package (FWPKG files) installation/update performed via Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP), HPE iLO GUI or iLOrest tool may fail. This issue occurs because the NVM Image version 226.1.x.x (or prior) does not initialize successfully for the PLDM firmware update process.

Resolution
