On a ProLiant server configured with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 and running SmartStart 8.50 through 8.70 or the HP Firmware Update DVD 9.00 (or later), the HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 2 or 3 remote console mouse cursor may not synchronize with the one on the local console. If the server implements a "tablet mouse" with absolute cursor positioning, then the iLO remote console will have proper mouse tracking. If the server implements a standard mouse with relative cursor positioning, then the differences in mouse settings (acceleration, etc.) will cause the client and the server mouse to track slightly differently.
Scope
Any ProLiant server configured with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SPI and running SmartStart 8.50 through 8.70 or the HP Firmware Update DVD 9.00 (or later) with iLO 2 or iLO 3.
Resolution
HP is investigating this issue and this advisory will be updated when additional information becomes available As a workaround, drag the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen for temporary synchronization.
