The HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLB and HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560M adapters with a firmware version prior to 1.475.0 may fail to establish link with the HP 6120G/XG Ethernet Blade and HP 6120XG Blade switches. When this occurs, the adapter may not establish a link or the NIC flapping link may not be established.
Scope
Any HP ProLiant server blade listed in the Platforms Affected section that is configured with an HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLB and HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560M adapter with a firmware version prior to 1.475.0 attempting to establish a link with the HP 6120G/XG Ethernet Blade or HP 6120XG Blade switch.
Resolution
To ensure the link is established with the HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLB and HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560M adapters, upgrade the firmware to version 1.475.0, packed in the HP Intel Online Firmware Upgrade Utility. Perform the following steps to obtain the latest HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560FLB and HP Ethernet 10Gb 2-port 560M adapter Firmware: Click on the following link: http://www.hp.com Click on Support & Drivers . Click on Drivers & Downloads . Enter a product name (e.g., 560FLB) and click on Go. Select the appropriate operating system. Select the category Firmware/Driver - Network . Select the Download button next to the description, HP Intel Online Firmware Upgrade Utility . Note: Click on the Release Notes to verify the HP Intel Online Firmware Upgrade Utility contains firmware version 1.475.0.
