HP ProLiant servers configured with an Integrated ATI ES1000 video controller and running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 may be unable to display in "16 bit color: maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200" or "32 bit color: maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024." After navigating to the Control Panel -> Appearance -> Display -> Screen Resolution -> Advanced Settings , the Maximum Resolution listed under the Adapter tab may be listed as "1024 x 768" and the Adapter Type may be listed as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter."
