When using the HP Service Pack for ProLiant (HP SPP) 2014.02.0 or HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) 6.4.1 from a read-only filesystem such as the SPP ISO, read-only fileshare or read-only NFS mount, some components may not be able to extract to the local system. If this occurs, the components will not be available in the baseline or any later deployment. Scope
Any ProLiant server using HP Service Pack for ProLiant (HP SPP) 2014.02.0 or HP Smart Update Manager (HP SUM) 6.4.1 from a read-only filesystem.
Resolution
HP SUM 7.1 (or later), available in the HP SPP 2014.09.0, corrects this issue and is available at the following URL: http://www.hp.com/go/spp/download As a workaround, copy the HP SUM files or the SPP to a non-read only filesystem before running.
