HP strongly recommends that firmware updates be installed during the HP ProLiant DL580 Gen8 server installation to avoid multiple known boot issues. This document will assist in identifying the firmware updates that need to be performed and identify certain HP ProLiant DL580 Gen8 server known boot issues. Specified actions in the Details section are recommended to prevent or correct known boot issues during the HP ProLiant DL580 Gen8 server installation. Neglecting to perform the required action could leave the server in an unstable condition and/or unresponsiveness and cause difficult server installations. In addition, neglecting to perform the specified actions could result in the potential for subsequent errors to occur.
