Document ID: c04899535 Version: 1 VMware vCloud Networking and Security 5.5 Version End of Service Life and Removal from vCloud Suites at 6.X version Release Date: 2015-11-23 Last Updated: 2015-11-23 DETAILS OF CHANGE VMware announced the end of availability (“EOA”) of the vCloud Networking and Security Standard and Advanced editions for sale as standalone products effective September 30, 2013. However, vCloud Networking and Security 5.5 were still available as part of vCloud Suite 5.X. On 3/12/15 Vmware removed vCloud Networking and Security 5.5 from vCloud suites upon the release of its new vCloud Suite 6.0 version. NSX 6.X is the replacement product for vCloud Networking and Security 5.X. Customers can purchase the NSX product through a add-on sku to vCloud Suites 6.0 available for purchase September 28, 2015. VMware vCloud Networking and Security 5.5 end of support life dates announced as 09/19/2016 As per our partner agreement with VMware, HP must end support on these products in alignment with VMware’s End of Support Life date. While you may continue to use your current vCloud Networking and Securities product, however support for this version will end on September 30, 2016.
