Please see the Vmware lifecycle matrix for up to date information on exact EOSL dates of versions. As per our partner agreement with VMware, HP must end support on these products in alignment with VMware’s End of Support Life date. While you may continue to use your current vCenter Operations Management 5.0 products, support will end on January 24, 2014. VMware has released a new version of their vCenter Operations Management products called vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.6. For more information about the version 5.6 products refer to http://www.vmware.com/products/datacenter-virtualization/vcenter-operations-management/overview.html . As an existing vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.0 customer, you are entitled to receive the matching edition of the vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.6 free of charge as part of your support and subscription entitlement. Your HP support contract will be updated to reflect the new 5.6 product numbers. Support prices for the new 5.6 products may vary. With the introduction of vCenter Operations Manager Foundation as the new entry level edition of the Suite, current editions have been renamed to fit the Standard – Advanced – Enterprise nomenclature. Despite the name change, there is no loss of functionality and existing customers can enjoy many new capabilities across the board. Look up the edition you currently own in the table below to find out your new edition name and key new capabilities. To upgrade software to your new version 5.6 product, refer to http://www.vmware.com/support/vcops/doc/vcops-56-vapp-release-notes.html#upgrade .
