Canonical Ubuntu installation may not complete when using Metal-as-a-Service (MAAS) with Integrated Lights Out 4 (iLO 4) Firmware Version 2.30. The Metal-as-a-Service (MAAS) uses Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) commands to power on the physical server during the commissioning/deployment phase. Due to a timing issue, the server is unable to power on using iLO 4 Firmware Version 2.30.
Any HPE ProLiant Gen8-series or HPE ProLiant Gen9-series server running iLO 4 Firmware Version 2.30.
