HPE recently released a new version of HPE D2700 Disk Enclosure firmware 0150. The HPE MSA 2042, MSA 2040, MSA 1040 SAN Storage, and HPE P2000 G3 MSA arrays support the HPE D2700 Disk Enclosure firmware version 0150. This version of firmware offers no new enhancements or fixes when the Disk Enclosure is attached behind HPE MSA 2042, MSA 2040, MSA 1040 SAN Storage, and HPE P2000 G3 MSA arrays.

Resolution
If installing a newly purchased HPE D2700 Disk Enclosure, you may find the 0150 firmware has been loaded at the factory. This version of firmware is supported and no further actions are needed. If your current system is running firmware version 0149 on the HPE D2700 enclosure, there is no need to upgrade.
