[SERVER-87750] Mongo command not working in version 6
JIRAUSER1265262 commented on Mon, 11 Mar 2024 16:35:13 +0000: Hi there! 'mongo' refers to the legacy mongo shell. The legacy mongo shell was removed in MongoDB 6.0. I am going to close this ticket given the error isn't listed, and the legacy mongo shell is no longer packaged with MongoDB 6.0+. For this issue we'd like to encourage you to start by asking our community for help by posting on the MongoDB Developer Community Forums. If the discussion there leads you to suspect a bug in the MongoDB server, then we'd want to investigate it as a possible bug here in the SERVER project. Christopher JIRAUSER1276972 commented on Mon, 11 Mar 2024 07:53:47 +0000: Hi, good day, I have installed MongoDB version 6 on my Linux server. However, upon executing the 'mongo' command, I encountered an error. Interestingly, when I used the 'mongosh' command, I was able to log into the database successfully. My question is: If the 'mongo' command is causing an error, shouldn't I encounter issues during the 'mongodump' and 'mongo restore' processes as well? Surprisingly, I didn't encounter any problems during those operations. I'm curious about how MongoDB worked seamlessly during the dump and restore processes but encountered an error when executing 'mongo'. Is there a specific reason behind this discrepancy?
