With SERVER-82034 changes, MongoD is producing FTDC data for shard and router. For Router FTDC section is composed by, at least 3, collectors (ConnPoolStatsCollector, NetworkInterfaceStatsCollector and TransportLayerFTDCCollector - same from MongoS) that periodically collects information about routing capabilities. The problem is that a MongoD acting as a shard and router starts collecting information from ConnPoolStatsCollector before Grid is initialized, and if this is not checked, we are going to crash.
