Consider the following scenario. You use Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or 2017 Reporting Services (SSRS). You open an SSRS report in a browser on an iOS device, such as an iPad. You click the Export icon at the top of the report, and then click Excel on the menu. In this scenario, you may receive an error message, and the exported file is not rendered. Note This problem also occurs when you try to export the report as a Word document.
The fix for this problem is included in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server: Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2017 Cumulative Update 5 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1
