Description:
Symptoms
Assume that you use the FileTables feature in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2017. When the contents of a directory that is managed by FileTables are enumerated, and then a cancellation is issued, you may receive the following Stop error code message: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the following updates for SQL Server: Cumulative Update 8 for SQL Server 2017 Cumulative Update 2 for SQL Server 2016 SP2 Cumulative Update 10 for SQL Server 2016 SP1

Workaround
This problem is reported to affect SMB clients most frequently. To work around this problem, change the time-out value in the registry on all client computers that use FileTable, as follows: Subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\ParametersType: REG_DWORDName: SessTimeoutValue: 600 (Decimal)
