When you use a Refresh command in Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Analysis Services (SSAS), you notice that the Refresh command stops responding occasionally because of thread deadlock. If it happens, it does not respond to canceling the command or stopping the SSAS service.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
