Description:

Symptoms

Assume that you use SQL Server 2017 or 2019. When you run a batch query with sort operation, you might receive a Non-yielding scheduler error. Additionally, a dump file is generated if the sort spills.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

Resolution
