IPP is a standard network protocol that allows you to print and manage jobs remotely. Windows Home users are unlikely to experience this issue. You might encounter this issue when you create an IPP queue to some printers, PSAs get associated with the IPP queue, but the PSAs do not launch. In this case, the print preferences or print options will be disabled. Resolution: This issue was resolved in KB5019275 (https://support.microsoft.com/help/5019275). This update should prevent the issue from occurring but if your devices is already affected by this issue, you will need do the following: 1. Find and uninstall any Print Support Apps (PSAs) which are not working as expected. 2. Run the following command in an elevated Command Prompt (run as administrator) to set reg key, making sure you replace [PackageFullName] with the appropriate package: reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppModel\StateChange\PackageList\[PackageFullName] /v PackageStatus /t REG_DWORD /d 2 3. Reinstall the PSA by going to Settings -> Devices -> Printers and scanners. Select the printer, and then select the "Get app" link to go to Store and install the app. Important note: If you do not know the PackageFullName for your PSA, you can find it by opening PowerShell and running the following command [PrinterBrand] with the brand of the app uninstalled in step 1 above: Get-AppxPackage -Name:*[PrinterBrand]* Affected platforms: - Client: Windows 10, version 22H2; Windows 10, version 21H2; Windows 10, version 20H2 - Server: None Published: 2023-01-13T00:43:46.003+00:00 ---------------------------------------- After installing KB5020030 (https://support.microsoft.com/help/5020030) or later updates, certain Internet Print Protocol (IPP) printers supported by some Print Support Apps (PSAs) might stop printing.
