The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 10.1.7 - May 15, 2024. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 10.1.7. Fixed an issue where GlobalProtect was unable to connect to the gateway and displayed the error message Could not connect to the gateway. The device or features requires a GlobalProtect subscription license even though the gateway firewall had a valid gateway license.
