( VM-Series firewalls in Microsoft Azure environments only ) Fixed a Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) issue where interfaces remained in a link-down state after an Azure hot plug event. This issue occurred due to a hot plug of Accelerated Networking interfaces on the Azure backend caused by host updates, which led to Virtual Function unregister/Register messages on the VM side.

The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 10.1.5 - May 15, 2024. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 10.2.1, 10.1.5. ( VM-Series firewalls in Microsoft Azure environments only ) Fixed a Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) issue where interfaces remained in a link-down state after an Azure hot plug event. This issue occurred due to a hot plug of Accelerated Networking interfaces on the Azure backend caused by host updates, which led to Virtual Function unregister/Register messages on the VM side.
