Proxy Authentication Required

Last update date:

Affected products:

Veeam Management Pack for Microsoft System Center

Affected releases:

8.0

Fixed releases:

No fixed releases provided.

Description:

Challenge

Although there is no proxy between the collector and the monitored targets, and connection to the monitored targets is stable (the Test Connection utility shows "Success"), the following problems occur:   No data is displayed in the Operations Manager console. The log shows the (407) Proxy Authentication Required errors.

Cause

Proxy settings might be enabled in Internet Explorer. These settings make the collector look for a proxy even if it is not required.

Solution

Check whether proxy settings are enabled in Internet Explorer: Go to Settings > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings. Make sure that the Use proxy server for your LAN check box is cleared and save the settings. Restart the collector in the Veeam Extensions UI: open the Veeam Collectors tab, select the collector node on the left and click Restart Service.
