Last update date:

Affected products:

Veeam Management Pack for Microsoft System Center

Affected releases:

8.0

Fixed releases:

No fixed releases provided.

Description:

Challenge

The collection of performance and events works fine, but during investigation of CPU/RAM properties of Hosts, Virtual Machines etc. unexpected values are revealed. For example ESXi host has 345.9 GB of RAM, but the SCOM property field contains 3459 GB.

Cause

SCOM processes these values incorrectly if the decimal separator is set to "comma" on Veeam Collector Server.

Solution

To resolve the issue, either enable the English System Locale in Region and Language options or change the decimal separator setting to the dot (.)  in Region and Language >Formats > Additional settings > Decimal symbol (for Win 2k3: Region and Language Options >  Regional Options > Customize > Decimal Symbol).Make sure you change the decimal symbol for Veeam Collector service account.Next, trigger full topology rebuild in Veeam UI >Actions> Rebuild Full Topology . Once the topology is updated, the issue will be resolved.
