Description:

Challenge

You need to reset the password of a Backup Administrator account used to access Veeam Backup for Google Cloud.

Solution

Before you begin, make sure the IP address of the machine that you are using to reset the password is on the list of allowed IP addresses added to the firewall rules configured for your backup appliance. Then, connect to the backup appliance with an SSH client using the private key you specified when deploying the appliance.NOTE: You can find the private key in the VM instance details of your backup appliance in the Google Cloud Console.   To reset a password, you can use either a Linux or Windows desktop: To connect to the backup appliance from a Linux machine, run the following command and enter Yes to connect to the specified server.
