Description:

Challenge

You want to install the VeeamCDP I/O filter on a cluster that will be used for continuous data protection (CDP). However, the installation fails with the following error: “The agent's workflow is blocked until its required solutions are re-mediated externally in vSphere Lifecycle Manager.”

Cause

vSphere LifeCycle Management installed on your cluster requires you to remediate updates for hosts in your cluster.

Solution

To install the VeeamCDP I/O filter on a cluster, do the following: In the VMware vSphere client, navigate to updates of a cluster for which you want to install the filter. For the hosts on the cluster, click Remediate All.
