This article documents how to locate and retrieve the VMC log file, which a Veeam Employee may request during a configuration review.
The VMC.log file is stored on the Veeam Backup Server within the folder: C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Utils Perform the following steps on the Veeam Backup Server: Right-click on the Start button. Select the "Run" option.
If the VMC log file is not in the folder C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\Utils, the latest VMC log can be found in the most recent zip file ending in Utils. Start with the most recent Utils archive and check if it contains a VMC log file. If it does not, return to the Utils folder and open the next newest Utils zip file.
