Description:
Challenge
A Veeam Agent Backup job fails with the error: Error: Connection over network is blocked by network throttling rules
Cause
This error occurs when a Network Connection Restriction prevents a scheduled job from running.
Solution
To resolve this issue, you will need to identify which network restrictions are in place and then either disable the restriction or change the state of the machine so that the backup is not interrupted by the restriction. For Veeam Agent Backup jobs operated by Veeam Backup & Replication the network restriction settings are within the Protection Group settings.
