Symptoms

Chrome does not export bookmarks and other settings when using DirectFlex and User Environment Manager.

Cause

This issue occurs because: Chrome launches multiple PIDs.The PIDs do not notify Windows of closure like typical tasks.PIDs continue to run while Chrome is still open.Chrome.exe will run when applications like Google Hangouts are open.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install Chrome.ini file to DEM. Go to Dynamic Environment Manager Community forum.Search for the Chrome.zip file from the list and click Download.Extract the Chrome.zip file.Copy the Chrome.ini file to your DEM configuration share general folder specified in your GPO setup. This will import Chrome to your DEM Management Console. Therefore, the default behavior is set.Choose one of these options: Disable Direct Flex for Chrome to allow settings to export on logoff (default behavior)Enable Direct Flex and set to export at logoff
