Symptoms

Smarts: How can the date and time format in Smarts logging be changed?Smarts: How can I specify Smarts to log time in the 24 hour format rather than the 12 hour format?Smarts: How can I change the time and date stamp formats in Smarts log files? Smarts is currently logging time stamps in the following format:Last discovery started at 12-Jun-2009 12:00:02 AM GMT The Server however, reports the time in the following format:bash-2.03$ dateFri Jun 12 09:05:02 GMT 2009

Resolution

There are three environment variables that you can use to achieve the results that you are looking for. These are explained in the System Admin Guide that is installed with every Smarts product in <BASEDIR>/smarts/doc/pdf. You can set the following environment variables in your runcmd_Env.sh file:SM_FORMAT_DATESM_FORMAT_TIMESM_FORMAT_DATETIMEAs the environment is loaded in, a restart of the domain is required for these variables to take effect.
