Trying to start mail notifier using the --conf= option and receiving error error: GNA-E-EXTRAARGS-Extraneous arguments: '--conf=mail-notify.conf ...' GNA-ETRYHELP-Try 'sm_notify --help' for more information
The format being used for the command to start the notifier is: BASEDIR/smarts/bin/sm_notify mail --conf=<conf file name>
The correct format to use to start the mail notifier using the --conf=<conf file name> option is: BASEDIR/smarts/bin/sm_notify --conf=<conf file name> mail
This is true for all notifiers (mail, trap, file, and script). The type of the notifier should be the last argument passed on the command line as shown in the fix above.
