Symptoms
IP tagging is not working in Smarts IPAll the correct configurations are set in the Tagging fields in the Polling and Thresholds screen
Cause
Setting change required in the Smarts IP discovery.conf configuration file.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, do the following: Open the Smarts IP tpmgr-param.conf configuration file for editing using sm_edit as follows: <BASEDIR>/IP/smarts/bin/sm_edit conf/discovery/tpmgr-param.conf Ensure the following setting is made: DisableOverlappingIP FALSE Restart the Smarts IP domain to apply the change. The above fix applies to Smarts IP 7.0 and later
