Symptoms
Interface relationships are missing for Juniper ERX routers in Smarts AM
Cause
This issue is seen when MIB compression is being used for the Juniper ERX routers. Wnen MIB compression is used, it will prevent the discovery of certain interface layers that are necessary to build interface relationships. MIB compressioin is used because of the large amount of interfaces that a Juniper ERX router can have.
Resolution
The only way to completely resolve this issue and see all interface relationships forJuniper ERX routers in Smarts AM is to turn off MIB compression. However, doing so will mean that the discovery of the Juniper ERX routers may take a very long time. This is a trade-off decision that must be made based on the characteristics of your environment.
