Symptoms

Cause
Incorrect version is specified in the Smarts bootstrap.conf configuration file in the <BASEDIR>\smarts\conf\icoi directory. The cause of this issue is the version specified in the entry "SAM_Status_Table_View": SAM_Status_Table_View::Feature-STATUSVIEW{DisplayName = "Status Views"Description = "Enables Status/Grid View"Vendor = "System Management ARTS"Version = "7.1"} If the version is 7.1 as above for Smarts SAM 8.1.1 or later versions, the above ASL error will occur and the Smarts OI service will not start.
Resolution
If you encounter this issue, do the following: Using sm_edit, open the bootstrap.conf configuration file found here: <BASEDIR>\smarts\conf\icoi Find the "SAM_Status_Table_View" entry.Add a hash-tag (#) to the beginning of the following line to comment out the old "Version=" line so that it looks like the following: #Version = "7.1" Add the following line (change to match your environment as needed): Version = "8.1.1" ExampleWhen complete, the "SAM_Status_Table_View" entry should look like the following example: SAM_Status_Table_View::Feature-STATUSVIEW{DisplayName = "Status Views"Description = "Enables Status/Grid View"Vendor = "System Management ARTS"#Version = "7.1"Version = "8.1.1"}
