Symptoms

Scheduled jobs fail to submit for Cisco IOS switch devices. When attempting to submit a scheduled pull, the following error is received:There are actions in the listed devices do not have mechanism or SNMP set. Please verify before continue. <<device names>>

Cause

These Cisco IOS switches will not submit because the Device Class settings for Cisco IOS switch do not contain an enabled transfer mechanism.

Resolution

Follow these steps:Open the Device Class settings by going to System Administration > Global > Device Classes or System Administration > Networks > NetworkName > Device Classes if device classes are being overridden at the network level.Select Cisco IOS switch in the list and Enable either SSH/TFTP, SSH/SCP or Telnet/TFTP from the available mechanism list on the right-hand side.Click Apply and then Close.Now try scheduling another job against Cisco IOS switch devices.
