The following conditions, events and system behaviors may be observed with this issue: TFTP transfers time out between the VoyenceControl servers and devices The following error is received when attempting to transfer a file to a device from a server where VoyenceControl is installed: %Error opening tftp://192.168.1.2/ios-image.bin (Timed out) Running the following lsof command does not list tftp running under xinetd: lsof -c x -a -i
The file /usr/sbin/in.tftpd does not have any permissions when running a long listing such as the following: [root@vcserver]# ll /usr/sbin/in.tftpd ---------- 1 root root 35880 Jul 12 2006 /usr/sbin/in.tftpd
To resolve this issue, do the following: Change the permissions on /usr/sbin/in.tftpd to 755 as follows: chmod 755 /usr/sbin/in.tftpd Restart the xinetd service as follows: service xinetd restart After this change, tftp should now be listed under xinetd when running the lsof command above.
