10.54.x
No fixed releases provided.
After configuring a replication in Cloud Director Availability, you see the destination Cloud Director Organization VDC show a storage increase that only equals the memory of the source Virtual Machine (VM) and the source VM provisioned disk size is not accounted for. When viewing the Storage Policy usage in Cloud Director though, you see that double the expected usage is recorded equalling to the VM's memory plus two times the source VM disk size. This issue occurs if you are using Cloud Director 10.5.1 and the Replication Tracking Virtual Machine (RT VM) placement solution introduced in Cloud Director Availability 4.7.
This issue occurs because of errors in some Organization VDC storage metrics in Cloud Director. The under-reporting of the Replication Tracking Virtual Machine (RT VM) usage is due to an Organization VDC metric does not include the storage values for RT VM disks in its calculation. The over-reporting of RT VM usage is due to an Organization VDC Storage Policy metric that incorrectly doubles the storage for RT VM disks in its calculation.
This issue is resolved in Cloud Director 10.5.1.1, available at VMware Downloads.
