Description:
Symptoms
Different ESXi hostname is displayed in VMware Aria Operations for Logs when the following query is executed.Display query as text :source | Contains | [ESXi IP address]Results (e.g) :Incorrect : ip-X-X-X-X.ap-northeast-1.compute.internalCorrect : esx-1.sddc-X-X-X-X.vmwarevmc.com
Cause
This is a known issue.
Resolution
Please contact VMware support with the following information. Org id :SDDC id :Impacted ESXi hostname : You can find your Org id and SDDC id from the Support tab in the VMC console. Please also refer to "Get Support " docs.
