Description:

Issue

If a large number of users authenticate to a server with the Logon app installed, some users receive an error message (201015213 or 201015003). When a user acknowledges this error message, they are returned to the Windows authentication prompt and cannot authenticate. This issue is related to the maximum size of the response that the Logon app can send. This response includes information about each user that has authenticated and if too many users authenticate, the response becomes too large to manage.

Workaround/Solution

This issue is resolved in the AuthPoint agent for Windows v2.8. We recommend that you download and install the updated version of the agent for Windows. If you cannot install the updated agent, follow the steps below. Make sure that there is a copy of the Logon app configuration file (wlconfig.cfg) in the C:Windows\System32 folder on the computer or server where the Logon app is installed. If not, download the configuration file from the Downloads page in AuthPoint and add a copy of the configuration file there.Navigate to C:Windows\System32\drivers\etc on the computer or server where the Logon app is installed and delete the wlconfig.cfg and wlconfigbkp.cfg files. AuthPoint creates a new version of these files the next time any user authenticates. If this issue happens again, delete the wlconfig.cfg and wlconfigbkp.cfg files again.
