Description:

Issue

WatchGuard Wi-Fi Cloud managed AP125 and AP325 devices that run AP firmware 8.9.0-63 may randomly reboot and a "Kernel panic - not syncing: Out of memory: compulsory panic_on_oom is enabled" message appears in the logs.

Workaround/Solution

To work around this issue, you must downgrade the AP to firmware version 8.8.3 or lower. Open Discover.Select Monitor > WiFi > Access Points.Right-click the AP you want to update, then select Update Firmware.From the Version drop-down list, select the firmware version to install on the AP. To downgrade, select version 8.8.3 or lower.Click Update. For more information, see Update AP Firmware in Wi-Fi Cloud.
