v11.10.2 Update 2
When you enable content type auto detection in the SMTP proxy, files of type application/octet-stream and audio/x-wav are denied as file type binary. When this occurs, the log message looks like this:0-External 1-Trusted ProxyDrop: SMTP content type (SMTP-proxy-00) proc_id="smtp-proxy" proxy_act="SMTP-Incoming.1" rule_name="Default" auto_detected_mime_type="binary" sender="test@example.net" recipients="test@example.net" Application/octet-stream is a content type applied to many different types of content, most often executable files. Audio/x-wav is typically applied to wave audio files, which use a .wav file extension.
Add an entry to the content list to Pattern Match binary, with the Action set to AV Scan or Allow.
