Description:

Issue

After you upgrade a Firebox to Fireware v12.4 or higher, you might notice extremely high CPU usage by your Firebox. If you use SNMP, the snmpd process will grow in CPU usage over time and stop responding to requests. This high CPU usage can cause other Firebox functions to perform poorly over time.

Workaround/Solution

This issue occurs when the snmpd process receives multiple GETBULK requests in a short time. To avoid this issue, reduce the frequency your SNMP application or service sends GETBULK requests.
